The Apostate will teach you about living darkness. The Apostate does not deal with the light but rather in matters of shadow. He appears human but desires to transcend his physical form to better understand the afterlife. Why would he disregard the gift of life? Because men fear the darkness and the unpleasantness that accompanies it but still desire to understand it. The Apostate is depicted with his hands positioned in a sacred form, fueling his spell with his life-giving blood. This vision prompts if dwelling in darkness is a means to truly understand the living. If the answer is yes and you are unafraid to take the leap, he is willing to share his dark knowledge. There’s a reason it exists, Explorer, and we must know it if we are to achieve true balance.
