The Hollow Man

The Hollow Man

The Hollow Man will teach about emptiness. All living species have a need, from basic to the frivolous. The harsh environmental conditions and lack of basic supplies prompted the First men to overcome obstacles and seek what they needed elsewhere. This card represents need through hunger but not necessarily in the literal sense. The young man is in need of sustenance he can’t afford on his own – physical, emotional, spiritual. The flame of the candle is barely kept lit but the desire to keep it burning is there and requires both human and divine intervention for the benefit of one or all. The sense of emptiness serves as a reminder to reflect on what we should prioritize as need.
